| MBA Outline |  Students entering business school to earn their MBA degree will need wide-ranging skills and have basic skills in certain areas. The level of math skills essential in business school will differ in different schools. A lot of Master of Business Administration programs need statistics, algebra, and calculus. Most business schools require the use of personal computers throughout your MBA program. Although the degree to which you use a computer will vary, you should be at ease with word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Every school will present you their minimum essential requirements for computer skills and hardware/software needs.
Nowadays, business schools try to imitate the business environment in their academic programs by using student teams. As corporations have increasingly turned to teams to work on projects and to resolve problems, MBA programs have changed a larger part of course work from individual work to teamwork. A lot of masters of business administration programs currently comprise teambuilding training as team building workshops, or as a subject in organizational behavior courses. In the competitive setting of MBA programs, the collaboration of students in teambuilding exercises is frequently not easy. Students that take part in team activities discover that working with others takes up a lot of academic time.
The basics of business are taught in every MBA program. Economics, finance, accounting, organizational behavior, marketing, and statistics are in the basic collection for master of business administration programs. In business school these subjects are supposed to be a center group of courses necessary for all students. The first year of study in a two-year full-time program consists of these subjects.
